  1. Google being what it is now and all the old forums full of either bad speculation/information or just plane old gone. This video just save my sanity. I thought I was chasing a vacuum leak. I replaced an elbow and everything was fine for a bit, or so it seemed. Just unplugged bank 1 and drove around the block. This didn't save me money, but it definitely took my stress level form a 8 to a 1. Thanks for posting this, don't ever take it down. Information resources on these is getting harder to come by.

  2. I’ve been going insane over this exact issue on my ‘98 for months. Been getting 11mpg, random stuttering and recently stalling but 80% of the time it’s been happening it was in this exact spot in my neighborhood after leaving my house and I could not make any sense of that until this video.

Also got stranded on the highway without gas after hurricane helene hit and thought I had a gas leak because I smelled fuel by the tank, thought I hallucinated it when I realized nothing was leaking. For some reason I didn’t even consider that it was probably just running rich. Thank you for making this video, glad to finally know the likely cause and know that it’s nothing too serious.

  3. Just started having this exact issue in my 99 XJ after replacing my front pipe over the weekend. It was running slightly rough the week before but no misfires, just a slight power loss on the highway and a low rpm drop coming to a complete stop. After the front pipe replacement it was much worse and running the same yours and smelled severely like gas. Unplugged the upstream o2 sensor this morning and all the problems went away, no misfires, but the strong gas smell changed to a rotten egg smell with a hint of gas, do you think I have another problem?

  4. hope someone can help .. i dont have jeep tho.. but mine its a UAZ hunter. and i do think its the sensor engine turns off like no power and if driving suddenly it feels like if gas had an obstruction or dirt in it and starts to lose power and shuts off. It happened once like 6 months ago i filled both tanks of gas and it fixed, even the check engine turnoff by itself but now the problem is back and now feels like gas is dirty and start to lose power and engine off.. Hope someone can help, thank you

  5. I looked all day for this video.
I had these exact same symptoms except that I have an '04 Liberty and wondered if I can try this, unplugging them to test without it damaging the engine.
But my codes were upstream AND downstream sensors.
Can I unplug them both to test?

  6. I have an 01 GC, and while climbing a long steep hill, it threw a code P0432 for catalyst bank 2 below efficiency. It runs great, no miss, but I know it could be an O2 sensor. I'm afraid its the cat going out (216K) , but I don't want to dish out 900$ for CA compliant cats if it's just a sensor. Does anyone have any input or experience with this?

  7. I get misfires from startup ,hot or cold
Idk wtf it is🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️its been a month and i still have no clue

  8. Hey Dan, quick question, did your MPG improve after plugging the new sensors? (I mean new/good sensors vs. fixed/open loop operation/unplugged sensor)
