Thanksgiving in Paris Includes Caviar, Champagne, and a Presidential Suite

If you’re still looking for Thanksgiving plans that don’t involve having to cook a single thing, then you’re in luck because one of the finest hotels on Earth is hosting a holiday fête to remember. It’s just maybe not in the location you think.

Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris, the iconic palace hotel in the 8th Arrondissement, is hosting its second-annual Frenchgiving experience, giving a European twist to the American holiday.

As reps for the hotel explained in a statement to Travel + Leisure, the event will blend “rich American traditions with French style and sophistication.” The experience includes a stay in either the Presidential Suite or Royal Monceau Suite and an intimate “six-course gourmet extravaganza” with a tablescape created by the luxury dinnerware, décor, and fragrance brand L’Objet, plus flowers by Anthony Denis. Guests will even get to learn from these pros, as L’Objet will put on a quick course on “art and elements of intentional, memorable tablescape design,” while Denis will lead a bespoke tutorial on creating stunning floral centerpieces and tabletop arrangements.

As for why the hotel wants to put on the event again, reps shared that they aim to help people “escape the stress of spending Thanksgiving at home” and “embark on a unique gastronomic journey with a French culinary spin.”

The menu is made up of some decidedly French foods, including Imperial Sologne Caviar, scallop carpaccio, curly salad and truffle, butternut squash soup, tagliolini with truffle, yellow chicken of the Landes, vegetable medley, poultry jus with truffle, and a vegan tarte tatin.

Best of all, both suites have direct access to the hotel’s Clarins & myBlend Spa, so you can unwind post-meal in style.

The Frenchgiving experience starts at €15,000 (about $16,300) per night for the Presidential Suites or €12,000 (about $13,000) per night for the Royal Monceau Suite. Reservations are available for stays from Nov. 26 to Dec. 1.

However, if that’s a little too out of your price range, you can also enjoy Thanksgiving dinner at the hotel’s Le Bar Long, which is also serving those same “elevated, French-influenced dishes,” including scallop carpaccio with curly salad and truffle, yellow chicken of the Landes, a seasonal vegetable medley, and the vegan tarte tatin. The hotel’s director of sommellerie, Gabriele Del Carlo, also created a pairing menu of select wines and Champagnes to make this a fully indulgent experience. These meals are priced at €150 (about $163) per person and are only available on Thursday, Nov. 28. Make your reservations now at leroyalmonceau.com.
