SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – As the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry prepare for Hurricane Helene, some areas have already had an impact.

Daufuskie Firefighters have responded to a possible tornado touchdown in the Melrose area of the island. The area has experienced fallen trees, blocking multiple roads and some minor roof damage has been reported. Please be alert today as the risk of tornadoes is high.
