SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – One Love Animal Rescue received a $4,000 grant from Chatham Subaru administered by the ASPCA® to host two events in support of pets in our community.

The first event is a free dog and cat vaccination and microchipping event at Daffin Park (Washington & Waters Entrance) on Sunday, October 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The grant will cover core vaccinations and microchipping for owned cats and dogs. No appointments necessary but supplies are limited. Services are also limited to 2 pets per household.

The second is a pet adoption event at Chatham Subaru on Saturday, October 19, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. featuring lovable dogs and cats looking for forever homes. Chatham Subaru is located at 100 Kita Ave, Pooler, GA 31322.

“We are incredibly grateful to our partners at Chatham Subaru for supporting our mission and the pets in our community. We have such loving dogs and cats in search of forever homes, and we also have loving pet parents who need just a little extra support so they can keep their pets,” said Karrie Bulski, CEO & Co-Founder of One Love Animal Rescue. “It’s a blessing to have a partner that supports both sides of the work.”

One Love Animal Rescue is hosting the vaccine event as a part of its Operations Pet Solutions Program, which provides pet owners in need with resources to keep their pets instead of being forced to surrender them.

Vouchers for low-cost spay and neuter services will be provided to interested pet parents. All dogs must be on a leash, and all cats must be in separate carriers. Operation Pet Solutions will have leashes, limited carriers, and pet food onsite for those in need.

Vaccine List:

Rabies for cats and dogs

DHPP for dogs

FVRP for cats
