The Hollywood Reporter broke the news of the music mogulโs death, though his cause of death still remains unknown at this time. TMZ later confirmed the story, sharing that Irv Gottiโs family revealed he passed away in New York City on Wednesday, Feb. 5.
In August 2024, The Shade Room shared that Irv Gotti experienced a stroke, according to his representative. At the time, TMZ reported that music manager Wack 100 shared news about Gottiโs medical emergency during a podcast appearance. Wack also claimed that people were allegedly keeping his health issues โunder wraps.โ Irv, however, openly discussed his struggles with diabetes, admitting he often skipped taking insulin. TMZ also noted that doctors reportedly urged him to change his diet, but he confessed he had a hard time sticking to it.
