LONG COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — Residents voiced concerns online on Monday over the Long County Commissioners plan to amend the Long County Charter.

The regular monthly meeting is set to take place on Wednesday, Oct. 9. When the commissioner’s posted the agenda, some residents expressed concern over what a charter change would mean for them.

The Long County Commissioners said under their post that the amendment would remove the Chairman’s duty over day-to-day affairs of the County and allow for a county manager to handle the daily operations.

The regular monthly meeting scheduled for Oct. 1, 2024, has been rescheduled to Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. to be held at Ludowici City Hall located at 469 N. Macon St. Ludowici, GA 31316.
