ISABELLA STRAHAN SHARES HEALTH UPDATE ON ‘GOOD MORNING AMERICA’

In a recent interview with Robin Roberts, Isabella Strahan shares a health update on Good Morning America.

The 20-year-old daughter of co-anchor and ex-NFL player, Michael Strahan shared not only a health update with Robin Roberts, but she also shared one of the biggest lessons that she learned during her courageous battle with medulloblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

“I learned how you should advocate for yourself. I think the whole journey has taught me that,” Strahan said, adding, “I think I should have known something was wrong earlier, and I think it’s always important to trust yourself and trust your body … That’s something I’ve taken into account, is always staying positive but always really knowing in your mind if something’s wrong.”

Strahan was diagnosed in October 2023 with medulloblastoma and chronicled her journey as a vlog on YouTube as a way to not only help herself through the process but to help others as well.

During her interview on the morning news show, Strahan stated that people can hear more about her story in a new ABC special “Life Interrupted: Isabella Strahan’s Fight to Beat Cancer,” now streaming the next day on Hulu and Disney+.

In the special, Michael Strahan chimed in, sharing his feelings about his daughter’s battle from a parent’s point-of-view.

“As a parent, you’re scared. Oh my, you’re just scared,” the former defensive end said. He added, “It never occurred to us that it would be cancer. I’ll be honest with you, just looking at the trajectory at that point of her life — and we have no history of anything bad in the family.”

Medulloblastoma, according to the “Journal of Clinical Neuroscience,” accounts for about 20% of all childhood brain tumors.

Michael Strahan shares Isabella, and her twin sister, Sophia, with ex-wife, Jean Muggli. He is also father to two older children, Tanita, 32, and son Michael Strahan Jr., 31 with ex-wife Wanda Hutchins.
