SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) โ€” Itโ€™s the eleventh week of Friday Night Blitz! Hereโ€™s the rundown of what happened under the Friday night lights this week.

Effingham County had the closest win on the night. The Rebels defeated Glynn Academy, 45-43. This game had no shortage of points, but it was Effingham County who picks up win number five on the year.

Metter locked up the Region 3-A Division II championship with a 20-8 win over Jenkins County. It’s the first region championship under head coach Lee Shaw and the first since winning four straight from 2019-2022.

Benedictine hosted the defending Class AAAA state champions, Perry, at Memorial Stadium. Benedictine trailed 17-3 in the second quarter. However, the Cadets responded with 11 points before the half to make it a four-point game.

Perry was able to hold for a 31-27 victory.
