APPLING, Ga. (WSAV) — The Sheriff of Appling County said that free meals and items will be available for the Surrency community and friends on Thursday.

“Attention Surrency community and friends, supper tonight at Just Hook’d Outdoors across from parkers gas station,” Mark Melton, the sheriff said on Facebook.

He said that Thursday’s meals will be supper at 5 p.m. located at Surrency Hwy 341 and Hwy 121. Spaghetti, cold drinks and sausage and rice meals are on the menu for those in need.

“Lots of people have pitched in so please come get a meal,” Melton said. “Thank you to all the volunteers and donations received.”
