SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Former President Donald Trump will mark his second visit to the Hostess City with a speech at the National Rifle Association (NRA)’s ‘Defend the 2nd’ event.

The event will be held at the Savannah Convention Center located on One International Drive on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

The trip comes weeks after Trump’s rally at the Johnny Mercer Theatre in Downtown Savannah and two months after opponent Kamala Harris’ rally at the Enmarket Arena. Both campaigns see Georgia as a must-win in the race for the Presidency.

Trump also recently visited Augusta in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

In 2016, Trump won the state by nearly five percentage points. Four years later, Joe Biden edged out a small victory of less than half a point.

What are the battleground states for the 2024 Presidential Election?
