WASHINGTON, DC โ€“ย Lately, U.S. Congressman James E. We have a leader in President Biden who is committed to tackling these injustices and has done that work in earnest.โ€

In November, Congressman Clyburn co-led aย letterย along Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (MA-07) and Congresswoman Mary Homosexual Scanlon (PA-05) to President Biden urging him to importance his govt clemency energy within the ultimate months of his presidency to reunite households, deal with longstanding injustices in our felony machine, and poised our people at the trail towards finishing pile incarceration. Of their letter to President Biden, the lawmakers praised the Presidentโ€™s efforts to build a good and simply legal felony machine via pardoning 11 family convicted of easy marijuana ownership.
