The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has reached a settlement agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs (WDMA) to resolve a gender-based pay discrimination lawsuit filed in January 2023.  The lawsuit, filed under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, alleged that WDMA paid former employee Michelle Hartness a lower salary than similarly or less qualified male colleagues for a director position within the Wisconsin Division of Emergency Management. According to the latest census, 1.2 million people under 65 years old in Georgia do not have health insurance. That includes about about 171,000 children.While Georgia’s uninsured rate has gone down over the past five years, it is still higher than the national average. Some stakeholders have asked for policy changes to cut down on the number of uninsured people. LONDON (AP) — U.K. transport officials and police said Thursday they are investigating a “cyber-security incident” that hit the public Wi-Fi networks at the country’s biggest railway stations. Passengers trying to log onto the Wi-Fi at stations including Manchester Piccadilly, Birmingham New Street and 11 London terminuses on Wednesday evening were met by a page reading “We love you, Europe,” followed by an anti-Islam message listing a series of terror attacks.
