I went to Aldine high school with Kevin, but moved away to Dallas our Sophomore year. Very happy to see that he’s blessed with health and prosperity. ♥️
The crime shifted towards the 1960 area in the 2000s and caused me to leave the northside all together.
I didn't know how good the schools were in Aldine till I got older and seen they could be so much worst. I live in Cy-Fair now which also has good schools.
I too remember when the section from 1960 to greenspoint was undeveloped. It was like you were in the country. I get sad when I drive through the northside as it use to be so laid back. Now it is too developed.
Great interview. I know a lot about the History of Aldine. I grew up in Northline Ter and went to Aldine High in the mid 90s. The people in the old apartments in Greenspoint and Goodson Rd were a cause of most of the area crime. Most of those old apt were rebuilt and things inproved in the early 2000s. The area was 80% White in the 1980s and is now 80% Hispanic with 6% White. I don't like all the flea markets, used car lots, salvage yards and abandon buildings.
