Hi there! I work at AccuWeather and was wondering if we could upload this video to our website and use it in television coverage? Would that be okay? We would credit you on the video.

Flash Flood Alert: Lake Area Streets Under Water After Heavy Overnight Rains
LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. โ€” Between two and five inches of rain fell last night as thunderstorms drenched central Missouri, and areas around the Lake of the Ozarks are seeing flash flooding as a result. ย Overnight rains left roads flooded in Camelot Estates on the morning of July 1. The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning โ€ฆ
Camelot Estates, in Camdenton, had streets under water this morning, and as the water receded, clear road damage was left in its wake. A tributary that runs from a local sewage treatment plant is the source of that flooding. ย

Captain Kelly Luttrell, of the Camden County Sheriff's Department, urged drivers, "Turn around, don't drown!" Luttrell said officers had already been out this morning, aiding drivers whose cars had gone off the road due to floodwaters, but he said currently there were no injuries or drownings related to the flooding.
The National Weather Services has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Camden and Benton counties, as well as northeastern Hickory and St. Clair counties. The warning is in effect through 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Local state parks are also included in the warning, including Ha Ha Tonka, Lake of the Ozarks, and Truman State Parks. The NWS reminds citizens not to cross swiftly flowing waters or waters of unknown depth.
A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for all counties around the Lake of the Ozarks through Thursday morning.
The weather service has also issued flood advisories for counties south of the Lake, including Laclede, noting low water crossings have been flooded due to the rain.

Warning for Lake of the Ozarks property owners

LAKE OZARK, Mo. — Ameren Missouri is advising property owners along the Lake of the Ozarks and Osage River to turn off any electricity running to their docks or any other structures that might be submerged.

The lake rose to over 661 feet Wednesday, causing the need to open Bagnell Dam's floodgates. The floodgates should help balance the flood levels between the two bodies of water.

"Property owners need to turn off electricity to their docks, patios, or any other facilities if any part of the electrical supply is under water, or if it could be under water," said Warren Witt, Bagnell Dam's Director of Hydro Operations. "It's a precautionary measure we recommend because Osage River and Lake of the Ozarks water levels have not yet started to decline and could potentially rise based on weather forecasts for additional rain in the next couple of days."

High water at the Lake also can down tree branches or create debris that pose navigation hazards, Ameren Missouri officials warn. Call 1.573.365.9205 to hear Ameren Missouri's daily report on Lake of the Ozarks water levels, or click here for hourly Lake water level information.
