HS Volleyball: St. Vincent's, Calvary Day, Savannah Christian advance to second round

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) โ€” St. Vincent’s, Calvary Day and Savannah Christian advanced to the second round of the 2024-2025 GHSA Private State Volleyball Championship on Oct. 16.

St. Vincent’s played a familiar foe in Savannah Country Day. This was the third meeting between the two schools. St. Vincent’s won the first two contests.

The Saints would win again in the playoffs in straight sets. St. Vincent’s will travel to Providence Christian on Oct. 19 for the second round.

Calvary Day had a tough time with Heritage Christian. The Lady Cavaliers needed five sets to advance to the next round. Heritage and Calvary Day split the first two sets.

Calvary Day travels to Holy Innocents for its second-round matchup on Oct. 19.

Savannah Christian breezed through the opening round. The Raiders dominated Weber in straight sets. Savannah Christian will host the winner of Mt. Vermon and Whitefield Academy on Oct. 19.
