The on-going beef between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion may have just gotten a bit more steam thanks to a new ad that involves one of Meganโs foes.
On Tuesday, it was revealed that the โGag Cityโ rapper had released another shoe as a part of her collaboration with LรCI shoe line, per Complex. And while that in and of itself isnโt messy, what was messy was the person she enlisted to help advertise the new release: Meganโs old best friend-turned-rival Kelsey Harris.
If youโll remember, Kelsey was the other person involved in the now infamous 2020 shooting between Tory Lanez and Megan. The โHissโ rapper alleged that after a drunken dispute between she and Kelsey, Tory shot her in the foot leading to her hospitalization.
Though Tory was ultimately convicted of shooting Megan back in Dec. 2022, the relationship between Kelsey and Megan took a turn for the worst with the former saying on the witness stand during Toryโs trial that the โTraumazineโ rapper โโpainted a pictureโ that she betrayed her and took money from people who wanted her to be quiet.โ Kelsey also alleged that Megan slept with Tory while she was recovering from COVID in Houstonโall while she and the โL.U.V.โ rapper were supposed to be in a relationship of their own.
In the years since the trial, Kelsey has been vocal about her estranged relationship with Megan, most notably speaking about it at length in an interview with โThe Danza Projectโ earlier this spring. Sheโs also posted footage of her attending Nicki concerts and rapping along to her songs on social media. On the other hand, Nicki has also been supportive of Kelsey and famously called out Megan for โwhat she put that woman through,โ describing her behavior as โdisgustingโ and alleging that Megan let Kelsey be โbullied.โ
Fast forward to this new ad and folks online are now giving both Nicki and Kelsey a major side eye for this major shade:
โKelsey modeling for Nikki Minaj shoe line is a prime example of how disloyal hoes are. I donโt care how bad the falling out is Iโll never kick it with bitches who donโt like a person I was friends with,โ wrote one user on X/Twitter.
Said another: โIโm trippin off this Kelsey working with Nicki Minaj thing because that means Kelsey isnโt a loyal bitch what so ever . Idgaf if you and a old friend arenโt cool anymore you never link up with a bitch she donโt like thatโs weird & shows she was never a friend.โ
โLove Nicki down but that was very corny of her to have Kelsey as her model,โ wrote another.
โThat whole Kelsey modeling Nickiโs shoes is so lame because the only thing these bitches have in common is their hate for Meg. Them linking is so corny like where were her creative directors to tell her this?? Doing the most for someone who doesnโt even think of them,โ another said.
But if you thought Kelsey was bothered by the online chatterโthink again. In a couple of since-deleted tweets, she defended her decision to participate in the campaign writing:
โThe HATE be so real. I didnโt betray nobody, harm nobody, been lied on by people with huge followings. I mind my business and stay out of the way. GOD got big plans for me…& I still chew yalls weak ass jabs and spit it right in yalls face. EVERYTIME.โ
However, what is interesting to note is that Kelsey has also since deleted the post with her ad for Nickiโs shoes off her Instagram.
